Turn the daisy into a white cross
Match the white cross and its side colors.
Look at a petal’s other color. Match it to its side center, then turn that face halfway to send white down.
Three steps to the white cross
- Gather white edgesGather white edges around the yellow center.
- Match the side colorTurn the top to match the edge to its side center.
- Half a turn downTurn that face halfway to bring white down.
See another side
Only the view changes. Hold your real cube as instructed.
The front-top white petal’s side color matches the front center.
Hold it like this
In the demo, green is front and red is right. On your cube, choose the front that fits the piece.
Read the moves
- Turn only the front face halfway.
This edge is home at the bottom. Align and send down the remaining petals one by one.
My cube looks different
Not every color needs to match the example. Compare the piece you are working on and the nearby centers. If no case matches, check the step-by-step help below.
Keep the yellow center up and the white center down. Keep the same front until the whole move sequence ends.
Before moving on
Do the four bottom white edges make a cross? Does each of their side colors also match its center?
The picture is an example. Check the written condition on your own cube.
Stuck? Review this step
Keep yellow up and white down. Use U turns to match a petal’s side color to its center. Regrip so that face is F and do F2. Repeat separately for each petal. If a bottom white edge has the wrong side color, turn its face halfway to lift it back up, align its side color, and send it down again. Check both colors of every edge.
- A white cross alone is not enough. Check the side colors too.
- Send down one petal, then align the next with U turns.

The side color matches
The front-top white petal’s side color matches the front center.
In the demo, green is front and red is right. On your cube, choose the front that fits the piece.
- Turn only the front face halfway.
F2
This edge is home at the bottom. Align and send down the remaining petals one by one.
Bring the right petal to the front
A top-right white petal has the same side color as the front center.
In the demo, green is front and red is right. On your cube, choose the front that fits the piece.
- Look straight at the top face. Turn only that face a quarter turn clockwise.
- Turn only the front face halfway.
U F2
You aligned the side color before sending white down. Continue when all four side colors match.
What do the letters mean?
R right, L left, U top, D bottom, F front, B back. Look straight at the face you turn: a letter means a clockwise quarter turn, a prime (′) means counterclockwise, and 2 means a half turn.
