Twist the corners and finish

Make the yellow on each correctly placed corner face up.

Top

Read the whole step before starting. Put a sideways-yellow corner at top-front-right. Follow the sequence even while the lower layers look mixed.

Only the view changes. Hold your real cube as instructed.

Every piece is in its correct position. Yellow on the top-front-right corner faces right.

Hold it like this

In the demo, green is front and red is right. On your cube, choose the front that fits the piece.

Is this corner yellow on top? Use only the top layer to bring the next twisted corner to the same spot. Do not repair the lower layers midway.

My cube looks different

Not every color needs to match the example. Compare the piece you are working on and the nearby centers. If no case matches, check the step-by-step help below.

Keep yellow up and white down throughout. After starting, do not rotate the whole cube or change the front. D turns only the bottom face.

Before moving on

Did you align the top with U at the end? You are done when all six faces match their centers.

The picture is an example. Check the written condition on your own cube.

Stuck? Review this step

Before starting, check that all pieces are in their homes and yellow edges face up. Regrip the whole cube only before starting to put a twisted corner at top-front-right. Apply R′ D′ R D in complete groups: check after two groups and, if needed, do two more. Then use U, U′, or U2 to bring the next twisted corner to that same spot. Do not rotate the whole cube or independently adjust the lower two layers; D inside the algorithm still turns only the bottom face. After all yellow corners face up, align side colors with U. Each demo orients one selected corner. Repeat for each remaining twisted corner. If the lower layers remain wrong at the end, screen Back cannot repair the physical cube. Check for a missed D, a changed grip, or an earlier unmet condition, then revisit earlier stages.

  • Do R' D' R D two or four times. Finish the last D before checking whether yellow faces up.
  • When this corner is oriented, use only U turns to bring the next twisted corner to the same top-front-right spot.
  • Do not repair the lower layers midway. They return after all corners are oriented and the top is aligned.

What do the letters mean?

R right, L left, U top, D bottom, F front, B back. Look straight at the face you turn: a letter means a clockwise quarter turn, a prime (′) means counterclockwise, and 2 means a half turn.
